Platform Payouts
Learn how platform payouts, fees, and invoicing work for partners.
As a platform partner, you earn revenue by facilitating payments for your merchants. Tapaya handles the complex flow of funds, ensuring that you receive your platform fees while your merchants get their settlements. This guide details how your earnings are calculated, collected, and paid out.
Configuration
All configurations must be completed via the Platform or API. Navigate to API Integration for more details.
Platform Settings
In the Settings section of the Platform, you can modify various options that affect transaction behavior, UI customization, and transaction pricing.
Fee Configuration
You have the flexibility to set your own pricing model for your merchants. This is configured in the Platform Settings and can be defined as:
- Fixed Fee: A flat fee per transaction (e.g., 2.00 Kč).
- Percentage Fee: A percentage of the transaction amount (e.g., 1.5%).
- Blended: A combination of both (e.g., 1.5% + 2.00 Kč).
Fee Ranges
There is a minimum fee that applies, and your revenue is the difference between the fee you charge your merchants and the Tapaya Rate. To maintain fair pricing policies, Tapaya caps the maximum set percentage at 5%.
Financial Workflow
Platform Balance
Your platform account has a dedicated Platform Balance viewable in the dashboard. This balance accumulates your application fees from every transaction processed by your connected merchants.
- Real-time Updates: Fees are added to your balance immediately upon transaction capture.
- Refunds: If a merchant refunds a transaction, the associated platform fee is typically reversed (deducted from your balance), depending on your configuration.
Monthly Billing
To streamline accounting, Tapaya operates on a Self-Invoicing model for platform partners.
- Invoice Generation: On the 1st of each month, Tapaya automatically generates a "Self-Invoice" on your behalf. This document represents the commission you have earned from Tapaya.
- Tax Compliance: The invoice includes all necessary VAT details and legal text required by Czech financial regulations.
- Access: Invoices are emailed to your finance contact and are available in the Documents > Invoices section of the Platform.
Payout Schedule
Your accumulated platform fees are paid out to your designated bank account on a monthly basis.
- Payout Date: Funds are typically settled by the 10th business day of the following month.
- Threshold: A minimum payout threshold (e.g., 1,000 Kč) applies. If your earnings are below this amount, they roll over to the next month.
- Currency: Payouts are settled in CZK to your Czech bank account.
