Android Requirements
To ensure a smooth payment experience and compliance with security standards, the host device must meet the following minimum requirements. Each one is a precondition for the SDK's attestation and monitoring checks: where a requirement is not met, the SDK refuses to start rather than running with reduced assurance.

Device Integrity
These checks are continuous, not a one-time gate at startup. A device that stops meeting a requirement during a session, for example because a debugger attaches, also stops being able to process transactions.

Supported Devices for Tap to Pay
While many modern Android devices work, the following list represents devices that have been explicitly tested and are known to perform reliably with Tapaya Accept SDK. Devices are grouped into commercial Android hardware (registers, tablets, kiosks, and rugged handhelds) and general-purpose mobile phones.
The last two hardware sections are different in kind, and are labelled accordingly. ODM reference designs are cases where the model number does not pin down the actual hardware, and chipset families describe a class of terminal rather than a tested unit. Treat both as guidance for evaluating hardware you are considering, not as a list of pre-qualified devices.
Running Without Google Play Services
Commercial Android terminals from vendors such as Sunmi, iMin, and Telpo are frequently shipped without Google Mobile Services (GMS). Tapaya Accept SDK can run without GMS, but this is not enabled by default: request GMS-free support for your integration at developers@tapaya.com before deploying to non-GMS hardware.

Sunmi Payment Terminals Are Out of Scope
Sunmi's Smart Payment and Mobile product lines, which include the P-series and the V-series and L-series handhelds, ship as payment terminals in their own right with integrated card readers and payment kernels. Those run their own payment stack rather than acting as SoftPOS hosts, so they are not listed here. The models above come from Sunmi's Desktop line, which is general-purpose Android hardware.

Pretech (ODM reference designs)
Pretech is an ODM manufacturer rather than a retail hardware brand: it sells white-label reference designs that resellers rebrand and configure. A Pretech model number identifies a design, not a fixed bill of materials, so two units carrying the same designation can differ in SoC, Android build, and NFC front end.

Rockchip (RK) Based Terminals
Many white-label Android POS terminals, kiosks, and countertop tablets are built on Rockchip silicon instead of Qualcomm or MediaTek. Rockchip platforms are supported on the same terms as any other Android hardware: the requirements at the top of this page are what decide compatibility, not the SoC vendor.
